Coconut Cacao Bon-Bon's


Who doesn’t need a healthy and delicious bon-bon recipe for a quick and easy energy boost on the go?

Many of my clients tell me that staying healthy when that snack-attack hits is one of their biggest challenges - but fret not, I've got your back with these babies! Stash them in the car, at work or in your handbag for even the most serious of ‘sweet treat’ emergencies.

P.S These will also boost your omega 3, antioxidants and even stabilise your blood sugar (thank you cinnamon!!:-D)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted dates

  • 3/4 cup walnuts

  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut, plus more for rolling

  • 1 tbsp spirulina powder (as desired)

  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Method:

  1. Simply pop all the ingredients into the food processor minus the coconut oil.

  2. Blend to desired consistency - if the dough is a little dry, add the coconut oil and blend until it comes together.

  3. Shape the dough into balls of your desired size and role in the extra coconut.

  4. Eat right away or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
